I'm so excited to have found Goalie Forum. I'm just now getting back into playing hockey. I stopped playing when I was 18 after a football injury in high schol ( which ended with me losing a scholarship to Michigan to play hockey there). I was a defenseman back then playing for Anaheim Jr Ducks in SoCal and now that i'm 25 it's been my life long dream to play the goaltender position. The one summer season I got to play keeper and attend a few keeper training days was the happiest time of my hockey life span (I actually had two shutouts and an average of 2.7 gaa throughout the summer!!) When I was younger my dad was totally against me playing keeper because of some insane idea he had that being a goalie was disgraceful.. but no more! I just wanted to share my excitement with you guys! I've been lurking and reading up and i'm just about to put in an order at Goalie Monkey for brand spankin new gear. Anyways, i'm really excited to be here and I can't wait to start playing!
