What kind of shots per game are you guys seeing?
I am just curious as I am looking around at some other stats within my league and we just give up a bucket load every week.
We meet once a week for a 42 min game (3 x 14 min).
Last season I faced 338 shots in 11 games.
This season I am up to 174 through 6 games.
So, 512 shots by 17 games is just over 30 per game.
I lead my league in saves, goalies ranked 2-5 have all played one more game than I have (bye week).
I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of a workout everyone has been getting.

well our games are 36 minutes long, me and the other goalie usually face about, on average, 35-40 shots a game, sometimes less if we play a team ALMOST as bad as us. i dont think i played in a game were we faced under 20 shots. of course, we split a lot of the games. we averaged about a 5-2 score per game, loss, of course  |

| For HS our team get an insane amount of shots against. Probably about 50 per game. One night, I wasn't in, but they had 76 shots on goal. The a 45 minute game. It sucks, but whatever, it's experience |

I usually get roughly around 35-40 shots a game. we play a 1:30 games. 2 20 minute periodes stop time, then a 15 minute stop time, if its a close game.

Wow, I didn't realize you guys all played shorter games. We've always played 3x20 with 15 minutes between periods.
Our defence has improved a lot over the last year. Started with 50 ish shots a game, now down to about 30. Most boring game was a 17 shot one, but that team played like they had never been on ice before. We won that one 9-1.

right now I was subbing in a league that is playing 3 20 min stop time, ice done between each period. I was saw 19 shots in one game and 27 in another.
My otther league is prety much drop in 1 hr 45 min run time goalies switch teams 1/2 way...that is more like 60 shots a night, but unlike young guy dropin most are reasonable shots. I likely will not play for another week. |

In my league there are only about 3 good teams, us and 2 other ones. So when i'm playing the other teams i get anywhere from 5-15 shots/game, and when we play the good teams i get from 20-50 shots a game...it all depends on how good our defense decides to be

Come down to Maine, and play for Massabesic, and you will be forever greatful for you defense. One game, my defensemen passed it straight to the other player and he came down on a breakaway and scored on me. In the locker room my coach says, "If I find out you're related to that guy, you're in big trouble."  That is how bad it gets with our D.
But I don't mind a lot of shots a game if they aren't all breakaways |

o yeah. i'll one up you fs. my teams so bad on defense, i WISH for the other team to have a power play, so that way, they can set-up in the zone, and not get breakaways and 2-on-1's
probably not worse than yours, but bad

What's that supposed to mean? We just have lots of rink time because the only time it isn't available is during the Sunday 12-5 public skate time, the high school games and when the little ones are playing. 90% of the time the rink is available. We are the only non school team that uses it as a "home" rink.

3 x 14 minutes
Depends on the team we play. If it's one of the easier teams, I usually only get around 10-15 shots per game.
For the harder teams, I can see as many as 30. We haven't played a REALLY good team yet, which kind of sucks. I long for the games where I'd have 30+ shots

lol i beleive u...same thing happens in alot of our games, but the sucky teams don't know wut to do when they get a perfect pass and they're in the slot all alone, when they findly come out of their awe, they realize that there's a wall in the net (me ) and know they are screwed
