Huh? That makes no sense at all. |

You are lifting the same weight and taking 90 second breaks. How much are you lifting, poundage wise?
Here's an example of your chest workout.
Chest
Exercise Sets Reps
Incline Dumbbell Bench Press 4 12,10,8,6
Barbell Bench Press 4 12,10,8,6
Incline Dumbbell Flys 4 12,10,8,6
Cable Crossovers 4 12,10,8,6
How much are you lifting for the dumbbell bench press (dumbbell weight in each hand) and the barbell bench press?
My bench press workout starts out warming up with 135 pounds/10 reps. Depending on how I feel, I'll do 155 pounds/10 reps, 175 pounds/10 reps, 195 pounds/10 reps, and 215 pounds/10 reps. I'm not huge nor claim to be, but on my heavy days, I'll warm up with 135 pounds/10 reps twice. Then, I do 185 pounds/10 reps, 205 pounds/8 reps, 225 pounds/2-3 reps, 245 pounds/1 rep, and 245 pounds/1 rep. I could not do this with 90 second breaks. |

In this routine you're supposed to do your max amount of weight in that succession. For example for the incline dumbbell bench press, I'm doing 50lbs in each hand, so 100 lbs.
regular barbell bench press i'm doing 135. no were near my ORM, but it's a comfortable weight to do in that succession.
this is where i modeled my workout off of - http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dougs-4-day-split-workout.html
i've been doing it for about 8 weeks now and have increased my weight significantly. i'm planning on changing it up, and start my bulking stage, i couldn't do that in the summer as it was shirtless weather.
btw, this was a better way of explaining what you meant in the first reply. made much more sense. |

I'm not knocking your workout. It's fine. I do superset type workouts with 5 second breaks (done on a universal-type machine so I just move a pin to change resistance) once in awhile.
Just curious as to what you meant by not having the time to change weights during the workout.
Good luck. |

I use free weights and a northern lights bench. I have one bar, and two dumb bell bars. I have about 200lbs in weights in various sizes. To constantly change weights between sets ads a lot of time to my routine. I'm trying to bang this out in under 30 minutes; I'm a busy guy. |
