Welcome new members! I'm still pretty new here myself.
As for my introduction... I'm a SWF looking for a S... kidding!
My name is Megan and I live in Northeastern Ohio. I really got into hockey after attending a few CHL games in my city and was hooked ever since. I just started getting into playing and am hoping to get into some goalie gear once I get better and some extra cash (unless anyone here would like to donate theirs to me ).
As for my hobbies I love to travel (especially to Canada), draw, cook, exercise, and look at hockey players of course! |

I play aggresive butterfly style because im only 5 ft 5.5 in (may be short but im bulky, 145 lbs). My best season (last year) i had a 1.44 GAA and a 92 save percentage. My hobbies are football (running back), playing bass and guitar. |

Cool. Mostly everyone on here knows me except for some of the new members. My name is Jodie(it's a boys name too ), I'm 32 years old and have been playing nets for 7 years now. Definately full butterfly style.
As far as other things, I play softball and baseball when I get the chance and my golf handicap hovers around 6. I also played in a band for 5 years that toured the maritime provinces as well as Ontario and into Maine. I'm a bass guitar player mainly although I do also play acoustic guitar, drums, a little saxaphone and piano(not by choice).
netclown. What kind of bass do you have? I have a Fender Jazz bass that I bought in 1999. _________________

My name's Jeremy Watson
I played U16A last season and won points and the playoffs. Um, I like Simmons pads(OMG!!!!, not SIMMONS, They are Sh*t)sorry... um, next season I'm either going to play U16AA or U18AA, just depends on who else shows up at tryouts. Um, one year from now, I'm gonna go all over PA trying out for different Juniors teams. I have a style all my own. it's kinda a combination of Butterfly/Hybyrd, yet mostly butterfly. it's weird, I can't explain.
anything else just ask. _________________ Simmons Matrix- Glove/blocker

I'm Sean, I'm 16 and live in big,bad Texas
I've been playing goal for 3 and a half years, full Butterfly type guy
Also, I'm in the high school marching band as a trombonist and am thinking about trying out for a Drum Corps International band (professional marching band, for those who don't know)
I noticed some people saying they were bass players.
I play bass also, mine's a Fender 2001 special edition fretless Jazz Bass.
sorta customized it to make it unique to anything else. :) _________________

My name is Yotam Zohar, and if I were to return to the country I was born in I'm confident I'd be one of about six ice hockey goalies there.
I'm 22 and I'm an art student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. I've been playing hockey recreationally with friends on the pavement since I was six or seven but never really played seriously on ice until about two years ago...goaltending has been my natural inclination since I started playing. I even play goalie when I play soccer. Perhaps it's something about the way I think (defensively?).
I ALSO play bass HAHA! and have been doing so for about six or seven years. I play a four-string fretless Wishbass custom made for me in 2003, as well as guitar and a little keyboards, and am currently working on my third solo album...wuahh alright. Moving on...
I consider myself a hybrid style goalie, although I must say that butterfly has been my best friend since I learned the basic technique. I play intramurals at OSU, and have played D-league these past two years, because my friends did also. A lot of people in D can barely skate, but luckily I'm not one of these...my excuse is inexperience pure and simple. This past season my team finished second, although we've won the championship twice, which means we all get free t-shirts and a photo on the intramural website. I took the privilege of keeping all my stats this past season, so here's how I finished:
Games played: 7
WLT: 4-2-1
Goals for: 18
Goals against: 11
Shots against: approx. 121
Overall save %: 91
Penalty killing: 95%
Powerplay: 100%
Overall goals against average: 1.6
I should add a big fat asterisk and make a note that the last game, most of my team was misinformed about when the game was, so only six of us showed up. Of those six, me and one other player are competent skaters (which means we can stop and not fall down all the time, etc.). We played a fully manned squad who on any other night we could have made short work of, but in the final game I estimated that of 40 shots against, I conceded 5 goals (we lost 5-2!). This bizarre match really threw off my stats for the season. Before then my goals against average was 1 and my cumulative save % was 93. I'm not bitter, though...just looking forward to next season! _________________ ATHLETES FOR THE ECONOMY OF MOVEMENT (AEM) |

Hi there, my name is Justin, I'm 28 about to get married in less than 2 weeks. I have a 3 year old daughter. I've been out of hockey for about 10 years (minus pick-up games every few months). When I did play I was a right winger, and also living in Connecticut, but now that I'm just playing for fun I play goal. My gear is all mis-matched stuff that I got for free like 12yrs ago. Few years ago I bought a real goalie helmet and I just got a new Bauer Vapor chest protecter. Looking to get some new pads soon and get rid of my old and beat up Vaughns that are to short for me. Anyway that's enough about me, see y'all in the pipes |

Why hello Im John and I am adict...oh wrong board..no not really. Im 37, married, looking for a SWF...just kidding megan lol a stay at home dad for two great kids my 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son. I could brag about them all day but this about me right.
so lets see where was I headed with this, oh yea. I started playing at age 4, as player on ice goalie in street hockey, switched back and forth on ice for while then stopped playing and played some pickup got the bug but left for my stint in the Navy..
I used to play stand up/hybrid even only just about two moths ago when I came back...but now would say I am focused on butter fly and mix in some stand up on deep angles to show them different looks and on break aways. i would love to say I dominate...but the truth isI hold my own in my age bracket and get my but kicked when playing the younger set the stats dont lie. In two months i have a few boo boos but I think my conditioning is catching up and those will be a thing of past. As far other hobbies go I hunt birds and big game, have participated in Long Range target shooting for a long time but not competitively for a few years, had been shooting IDPA untill recently (time commitments) I still shoot sporting clays and 5 stand and love taking my kids to the rink...in fact I am about to leave to go get my son his first pair of hockey skates! I live right now in Bowling Green Ohio and pretty much have my whole life, as such Im a fan Falcon college hockey and will likely buy season tickets even when move in the near future. |
