We had a horrible summer season, but I have made many upgrades in the scoring and defense department. Picked up a newfie D man who probably spent every waking moment on ice back in Newfoundland when he was a kid. Can't believe his skills, and we added a speedy forward with a 96mph slapshot. I'm stoked to see how this season unfolds. I know your pain. I played my first game a couple weeks back, and we won 9-2. The next 3 games were nothing to write home about, all losses. Then we won our first play-off game 4-3. I made one save on a backdoor play, I am sure the puck was in the air and over the line. But it hit my stick and immediately popped back out. The refs let play go on and everyone cheered like I was a hero. It was purely stupidness. The 3 goals I let in were one PP goal with two guys standing on my doorstep. I made the first save then the second guy just took it off my pad and popped it past me. The second goal was the funny one. Guy was coming in on a breakaway but my Dman caught up. The guy shifted his body to pull the puck and go to my left, as he did that I went with him, but my dman lifted the guys stick at the last second and the puck slowly went in on the right side as I moved with the man. Third one was a total scramble and I tried to dive dropping my stick and reaching out with both the glove and blocker; missed.
