If you can find a Sherwood 5030 wood stick, pick one up.

SWD 9950- Foam

Had used a RBK 8k composite- sucked

Foam are light and durable as long as you don't intentionally harm them

Foam are cheap and pretty durable

Ya that's why i figured i would grab them. It's gonna be a sad day when i have to switch sticks. I love these. Plus they retail for $100 a piece. I figured half price that included shipping was a sweet deal

I always get the cheapest wood stick I can find. I suck with a cheap stick, and I suck with an expensive stick! Twisted Evil

I used to be really into the wood sticks but now i've moved over to foam sticks. They seem to be a little more durable and i feel much more comfortable not having to worry about them softening up due to moisture. I tried a carbon stick and while they are awesome light, i hated the rough rebound off the blade and the stick was much too stiff for my taste. However it's everyone's personal preference and i can see the positives for each type.

Well that went right over your head.

You see, as years progress, companies improve their gear. They have made large steps in the past few years, the gear isn't that same as it was 20 years ago. They update their gear, they don't just change the appearance of it.

6ks are a little over 3 years old, they are coming out with lighter and more durable sticks since they have improved equipment since then. There is a difference in the stick, not just the looks of it.

I'm a firm believer in composite sticks, TPS composites to be exact. The ones i've had have lasted my a lot longer than any wood or foam stick i've ever used. I get maby 1/2 a season out of a wood/foam stick and i get about 2 seasons with a composite stick. Any of the TPS response sticks are great, Albeit a bit pricey, but very durable.

I use the One75 and love it.

Although if I bought a wood one it would definitely be RBK. I used to use only those and loved them. But I like the lighter feel of the composite better.

Same here. I've used one Vapour XX(it's the old version of the One75) for 1.5 years. It's on it's last leg for sure now but it still works! i used to use wood sticks but they broke fairly often. And I like the feel of the composites better.
