May just be me, but I refuse to use any other stick other than wood. I used Heaton's for a while, but the model I bought for years starting breaking...stick after stick. Then I switched to a...I forget the brand...but it was some "air-core" stick (similar to a composite) and that I did not like the feel of in games and broke in less than a half a season. Now I use good old sherwood wood sticks and I love them. they're durable, great feel, and a good weight to em. Not too heavy, but not so light you end up lifting off the ice. I suggest sherwood wood sticks to any goalie.
