I was always told the reason why goalies skate in place in the crease during warm ups was to create ice shavings to slow the puck down, but I watched this goalie training vid a while ago and it said to clear the shavings away so the skates can slide easier. does anyone know which is the right thing to do? _________________

whatever is best for you.
try both.
i clear the shavings out because they annoy me, and I like making 2d snowmen with them all. _________________

amen to that. I prefer to build minature castles/houses though. Especially in tournaments when I only get like 2 shots... _________________
