Sounds like he's doing his job pretty well. Wink I put my stick against the back of their knees and give a couple gentle bumps, then a real hard push. That generally knocks them on their a$$es so I can see the puck better. Twisted Evil

Just so you know, using more colorful language won't make them move Wink
Just keep pushing on their legs and back, and be sure to let your d-men know you're screened so they can move him out too.

I have no idea how a fight broke out from you just slashing his leg, I wouldn't think anyone would even notice it. Unless you were an idiot about it and used your stick like an axe or baseball bat and took out his knee. There isn't much you can do except look around it. If the refs are any good they're going to call you for slashing or tripping him.

One thing you could try that was taught to me by a High School goalie about 2 years back, but it is hard to explain without showing it. I don't use it much, I just look around the guy. Most cases you will not be totally screaned and you will be able to look around.

Want him to move?

Put the blade of your stick aroud the front of his skates, then put your glove hand in his lower back.

Push with you glove hand and pull with your stick.
The opposite motion will throw him off balance and onto his butt.
Works everytime for me.

OR

Put your stick between his legs and pull up as hard as you can.
Nut check city.
It's more blatant than the other one, but if you need to be quick about moving him, it works faster.

Take your skate off and chop their head off so they fall to the ice bleeding with their head skidding 10 feet away from the body. 9 out of 10 times the ref won't catch it

i was told if ur D can't move him stick the blade of ur stick down the back of his skate the push ur stick as hard as u can, they will land on their A@#s.
If the don't move do it again, then they will look like they can't stand up and they will move.

works for me! Smile

Until you get caught for tripping and the other team gets a power play with 47 seconds left. You kill of 43 seconds butwith 4 seconds left they pump a slap shot through five hole and you lose the champoinship. Shocked
