Was trying to be supportive. Obviously it's our job to stop the puck. But you can't let people rag on you, and you have stand up for yourself. _________________

Exactly!! We know when we let in a stinky one or play like shit and we also know when our team doesn't support us. |

They might not be trying to make you feel bad, they're just frustrated that their doing their job and you aren't doing yours, it's very understandable. You guys probably feel the same way when your team is playing like crap. _________________

I have to agree with Fs on this one... as a goalie you can't play the "it's never my fault" card.... unless you want everybody else to do it too. But at the same time, all the players on the team shouldn't blame each other, if somebody makes a bad play, I'm pretty sure they noticed... and don't need people reminding them again and again... and if it's that bad, the coach will deal with them.
If I let in a shot I should've stopped, I let my teammates know, "Sorry guys, I should've had that one" and that's that. They know they played it right, and they know I played it wrong, but they don't feel the need to point it out. _________________

The thing is, we all know when we are playing bad or when our team is playing bad. That's just it, we are a team and we lose or win as a team.
When the finger pointing starts happening, it's not good. He knows that he should have had it, or should have played it differently. The team shouldn't say anything. It was just a bad timing goal. Happens all of the time. |

thats exactly how i feel. win as a team and lose as a team. but it sucks when the backup goalie is calling me out and telling everyone on the team and off the team how I lost it for us and I am the one who needs to step it up. |

Well, that explains alot. The backup is doing that because he wants your job. Tell him to shut it and to remember that there is a reason why your are the starter and he is the backup. |

I think that the "not my fault" card depends on the situation. The other day my guys had a give away at our blueline. The guy who got it had a breakaway and beat me with a deke. What was important though is that the guy who gave it away took responsibility.
What I'm trying to say is: If your team leaves you hung out to dry on a break or a 2-0 or something, you gotta do your absolute best to stop but its not your fault. If you get beat in a even man rush or a point shot or something its your responsibilty and yours only. The bottom line is there shouldn't be any finger pointing-it's immature, unhelpful and destructive. If you want to win, you have to PLAY and ACT like a team! |

I just say it's my fault for all the goals, cuz it is. Plus I beat the other kids to saying it to my face. _________________

i had a hour with the goalie trainer yesterday, i have to practice practice practice.. i keep getting up with the wrong leg! it's a bad habit, but one leg is way stronger and is the dominant leg.
also, i hate being old.
i recorded a video, going to edit out all the dead time and upload it. _________________

$75 an hour.
They've worked with Carey Price, Olaf Kolzig, Dan Cloutier, Felix Potvin, and many more. _________________
