1) Yes, but everyone on here who posts a picture wearing that gets it. So it's no big deal Laughing
2) We won't laugh at your pads. You just upgraded, and you got a decent set. Why laugh?

Just make sure that if you're widening your stance you don't lose mobility. And make sure you're not hesitating when dropping to the butterfly, especially with sharp shooters.

I feel like I do hesitate, but it's because no matter what I do, whenever I seem to drop, I CANNOT slide sideways. It hasn't happened right at all. I've tried all the tricks I've seen on here, tried repeatedly, and I have strong legs, but I just spin in circles. I'm a LITTLE better with these new pads, but still horrendous. A decent speed skater burns me if I go down too early, and by too early, I mean when they're six feet away. If I just managed to perfect my "Drop then push off slide" tactic, then I'd stop 20% more pucks, easy. That's how people beat me regularly, snap quickly when I'm still up, or force me down, then deke to the side for a wide open net with me lunging with my glove.

I've discovered the best video for what I'm trying to learn to do...

Very Happy

I'm not able to skate tomorrow, but Friday I'm going in and putting in 8 hours of ice time. Hopefully, before my legs collapse, I'll manage to pull off a bfly slide... I'll update this weekend.
