1. When it's a shot that my own defencemen are screening me on. (hey dumb***, that's the other team's job!)[quote]
Yeah . . . that too. Big problem with the co-ed team. These 6+ foot defensemen just haven't quite figured out how to play in front of a 5'2" goalie. Half our goals against are through defensive screens. I keep telling myself if I keep hollering they'll eventually get better. _________________

| A slapshot on you? Or was he trying to get it to the other end? |

When I read it, I assumed he was probably trying to slap it behind the net and missed. |

I've had shots on me like that, but normally i'll recognize the player is... prone to doing things like that and be ready.
a goalie in my old league came out to play the puck near the face off dot, turned to throw it around behind his own net, ended up shooting it into his own goal. THAT was hilarious. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

lol, no. the goalie is generally the smartest or one of the smartest players on his team. so no, there's little reason to think they would have learned the first time.
i had a player on one of my teams that for some reason, was constantly angling pucks in on net with his skate. I don't know if he was trying to deflect shots wide, or use his skates to stop passes, or it was just the angle that he put himself in relation to the other team, but it got to the point where i learned to anticipate his skate deflecting the puck in on me. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

I had two goals that I wanted to punch myself for the first was on the face off, the ref dropped the puck and the guy wacked it out of middair and I thought it was going wide, and so I go down just to be safe and the puck dribbles past me.
The second was when there was a guy a foot in front of me and I make the initial save but in an attempt to knock to the corner, I passed it right back to him and he scored, somehow we still won the game _________________ Itech 12.8 X-wing pads/blockers/glove

i hate when i can see the guy is going to take a shot from a mile away then when he takes the shot it goes right passed me anyway. i think its a noob mistake though, im probably not far out enough
wrap-around goals piss me off too, i gotta work on that haha |

In 16 and u's my team was getting hammered. The other goalie on our team started, got pulled, and I went in. We got a weak penalty (I guess the refs thought they needed some help only being up 6-0), the other team sent the puck all the way down the ice to their own goal line, and sent 1 defenseman back to get it.
Their other 3 players (roller hockey) lined up in front of me, the f'ing Great Wall of China of screens. My 3 guys all try to move them out of the way, making it even harder for me to see. From the opposing neutral zone dots, the guy took a slapshot, which I heard and never saw. As the puck got to them, the 3 guys in front of me just stepped to the side just in time for me to see the puck sail over my shoulder and in. _________________ Because it hurts so good.
