Have a bad goal go in? Post it here!
The last couple games this happened twice. Kid was coming down my blocker side boards, shot at the hash marks, hit my paddle (in butterfly) and shot straight up, getting top blocker side corner. I was so pissed. I think I wasn't far enough out of my crease though. Stupid stick! _________________

Shots like that don't piss me off too much because it was my mistake (and we all make plenty of them). What pisses me off is when I read a player perfectly. He rips the shot, I go to make the save, perfect form, perfect positioning... and the player fanned on his shot... the puck dribbles in to the opposite corner at half a mile per hour.
I made the save on the shot he WANTED to take... just not the shot he accidentally took! _________________ Because it hurts so good.

A couple times in the last 3 games. Puck is a foot outside the crease, scramble is going on. D men fighting with the F to get position. Legs everywhere, and blamo a shot through my 5 hole along the ground. Stick not in proper place, butterfly block not properly setup. Mostly because of the scambling movement, I'm not completely set.
Another one in the same vein, an opposing player is down on his knees, my d man pretty much holding him down. Puck behind his arm, another player comes along and whacks at it. Goes under the player who's down, passed my D'men's legs through my 5 hole.
Not being tight enough when the scramble is in front. SUCKS. |

Goals that piss me off are ones that should be waved off but aren't. Like the one i had scored on me last night.
Guy passes it across the slot for a one timer. So i butterfly across to make the save. One of their guys is standing in the crease, i run into him and it stops my slide. Puck goes in and we lose the game. Ref says he didn't see it and counts the goal. I was pissed |

| I really can't complain about "goals" per se because we don't keep score, but I had two today that went behind me I wish I could have back. The first one was a shot from the hash marks in the slot by some 58 year old guy about 4" off the ice between 5 sets of legs and under me because I didn't butterfly. The next one was a beautiful sprawling save on a breakaway sitting 2" off the left of my foot and my teammate for whatever reason goes to tap it into my pads and instead hits it straight back into the net. Talk about a frustrating day. Other than that everyone kept calling me "Marty" or "CuJo" (not cool...CuJo isn't my fav by far) because I was everywhere today. Felt good too. |

were playing in this tournament and this kid comes in off a brake away but we have this really fast defense man on our team so he checks him and the kid as hes falling he kinda flattens his blade on the ice and like slaps at the puck and it took the craziest bounce and went right over my shoulder _________________ gear:

2 types of goals I just hate!
1. Defenseman goes to block it-5 feet in front of the net, in the slot, when I can already see it's going well wide! Knocks it right past me. That's happened more than once, but only with my co-ed team. Never with my women's team.
2. Pushing it in while trying to cover it with my glove. I hate scoring on myself! That's happened maybe twice. _________________

Hate that.
Mine:
1. When it's a shot that my own defencemen are screening me on. (hey dumbass, that's the other team's job!)
2. Any "weak" goal... caused by being either out of position or not all there mentally and make a stupid error.
3. When I have the puck covered on the goal line with my glove, the ref doesn't blow the whistle, and they poke until it slides in.
4. Any goal scored from the slot with no defencemen in sight. |

Easier said than done, especially when it's after having dove over and I'm on my stomach with my arm stretched out.
Actually, I'll make my answer shorter:
All goals piss me off. Because most of them are stoppable shots. |

what about ones where it's your defenseman that puts it in. I don't mean tips... i mean the defenseman tries to clear the puck out from in front and instead takes a slapshot on net from 4 feet out.
or a great one i saw, a player trying to clear the puck from the side boards, around behind the net and to the other side... shot it top corner. The team totally melted down after that. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

I got another one today. I can't believe this guy did this but he looked...indifferent. He was a great player and I found out afterwards that he was one of our wingers for our ECHL team...but I digress.
Today at drop in I was up against the post and a shot came from the corner and smoked my elbow. Not my pad. My elbow. This is why I'll NEVER own another piece of Reebok gear after I replace the crap I have now. That being said, it was my stick arm and guess what happens when you hit your elbow. You've now effectively eliminated any control you have over your blocker and much more importantly...your stick.
So, here's the goal. This guy comes skating in on a break away and I'm already letting just about every other shot in because I no longer have my stick to lead my body. I stop the first shot and it deflects in to my right side and because my body can't get the arm to go I turn my whole body to stop the second shot. He goes into the corner, I'm at a 90 degree angle to the net, he shoots the puck into my leg pad and I couldn't bring my stick back in front of me so the puck bounces off my leg pad and into the net. THAT is probably the worlds worst goal. I'm off position, I'm playing hurt, I'm way wrong on the angle because I didn't move back and he scores off my leg pad. |

| I had a crappy goal go in last night. We were winning 3-1 going into the third period and around 5 minutes in a guy took a shot from the left side near the middle of the circle. I made a blocker save and attempted to direct the puck to the corner. Except one of the opposing players was standing there and it went off him and he tapped it in. They scored a few minutes later because a slapshot from the blueline hit a skate and went right to a guys stick that was within a foot of the crease. The game went to a shootout and we eventually won. I've never had a goal go in like that. |

i had an old one when i was playing 12u's. a slapshot went off a stick, deflected up into a guy's knee, off the knee and up, hit a player in the back of the helmet, and then right, off my defenseman's chest, left and into the net.
i didn't get mad. how could i? i was busy going over it in my head to make sure what i saw happen... really happened. if i play the rest of my life, i'll never see that again. _________________ Because it hurts so good.
