The pain's gone way down, but I still can't fully extend or reflect my right arm.
Things I've realized are very difficult with only my left arm:
!) Brushing my teeth
2) Eating sushi
3) Sleeping (I couldn't get comfortable on my back and was too scared to turn over)
4)Eating a double whataburger with no tomatoes (Yum......) _________________ That's what she said!

Umm, damn it's been a while. Mods, feel free to move this thread wherever you feel it fits best, there's not many here in "Between the Pipes"
My season officially starts today, we're playing against a team called Northwest which we beat pretty bad twice last year so let's just hope they haven't changed!
A couple a weeks ago we had a pre-season tournament. Overall I think I did okay, my team was completely not prepared to the point where I'm irritated with my coaches that we haven't had more practices. We still have a kid who asked me if there would be any drug tests and then proceeded to ask me if I'm "on the plant" (no) and that he was "soo high right now!" Oh, and he can't skate to save his life. Whenever anyone touches him he spins around a few times and usually fall down. In the first game we won 4-1. I had probably the greatest save I've ever made.
The winger was right out from the post so I went ahead and got in the VH position. He took the shot and it was coming in low, so easy save but I had my stick at a weird angle and the puck came right over my shoulder. I manage to whack straight up into the air with my glove. I looked up and noticed it was coming straight down. I some how rolled over and whacked it again with my glove. Reading what I just wrote, I promise it was cool if you had seen it!
Our other games were... not so good. We lost 4-2 in the second, we were on 5-on-3s practically the whole game due to some particularly dumb refs. The third game we played a team in a higher division than us who skated circles around us. I was left to dry all day and we lost um... 9-0.... um......

Okay, first game of the season and damn I felt good!
Mesquite v. Northwest
The game started off a bit shake, I made a couple of saves early but nothing too difficult, some off the stick and into the corners. Third shot of the game is off the faceoff, to a winger in the high slot. He takes a quick wrister which I catch a piece of but it still flips over and we're down 1-0. The whole team still looked a little shaky but we manage to tie it up at 1-1. The period ends and we're outshot 7-5. Grrr . From the second period on we were pretty much just on, we were still getting outshot but manage to get a lead of 3-1. Towards the third period the refs started to call everything (even though we deserved it). It felt like we were on the kill for the whole period. I got a bunch of good saves off one-timers to the slot. Bottom line, it was a great start to the season and I'm looking forward to it.
Things to work on: Depth!
