Hi I am 22 years old and I am planning on playing goalie for the first time. I am in the process of getting equipment I was wondering if I should get all new equipment or if getting something like used pads would work? I don't have a boatload of money to spend trying to get everything for 1500 or less. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Very Happy

Yeah unfortunately I am going to have to piece my gear together over the next few weeks as money comes available. Any suggestions on stuff I should start working on first after i get my gear?

Well, I am as most of are far to familure with piecing gear together.
I encourage you to get into a store and try on skates, wides and regular sizes and get the right fit, and get to public skates. Where you would be able to work on some crease movements.
I also say go to a book store and invest 15 bucks on a juggling set it will improve your eye hand coordination rapidly, a jump rope and some racket balls to play wall ball.
what size pads do you need?
whats your ankle to knee measurement?

Yeah I am going to have to get fitted for skates some where because I have very wide feet. My atk is about 16 and a quarter so I think i am going to go with some 32s or 33s. I will prob go get a juggling set or something I have been going to the tennis courts and throwing the ball at the practice wall and catching it to help my hand eye coordination a little bit so I think i will be ok to start.
