Hahah! I have yelled to friends "don't even bring the puck in the zone, its just going to make you look foolish. Just dump it from center ice, and nobody's feelings will get hurt!

go for the goal.... put the puck on your stck ( sydney crosby style ) and throw it twards there goalie.... it might go in,,, and its not an iceing! _________________

when the puck comes into my zone by itself with an opposing forward chasing it, I do the old Dominik Hasek move.
It's pretty much a forward sliding pad stack, that way you don't have to worry about possibly missing the puck with your stick. You take away the ice the puck has to move on, and change its direction.
This works especially well if you're hankering to take down the forward as well.
I think theres a video on youtube called "Belfour Tackles Lecavalier", watch it, he does exactly what I do AND takes down big man Vinny too. _________________
