| hey guys, maybe you can help me out. I'm letting in some bad goals from down deep in the corners along the goal line from passes through my crease. sometimes off my stick and sometimes off my skate. what gives? I try to keep my toes pointed down ice as long as the puck is below the goal line. I'm wondering if i should square up completely to the shooter as soon as crosses the goal line or try to wait thenm out a little longer. |

depending on the situations you have several options.
t play aggressively...your all ready getting burned so why not, roll out a bit, drop down your far post leg and go paddle down, or on the glove side instead of playing back on the line, roll around and stay tight to the post , but play the puck if the pass is made. you can not make the move every time but toss it in to the mix to keep them guessing.
I will often try to play the pass, treating it like a shot and cover it up, or knock it clear.
YELL at your guys...no way they should be letting the other team have that so often...thats crappy. |

try the load position if its at a sharp angle. its difficult to learn on your own though. i'd recommend getting a friend to let you know if your doing it right, or get a goalie coach for an hour and let him teach it to you. _________________
