I started playing hockey in 2006, became a goalie in 2008. I really would like a lot of tips! I am struggling with my bad position in the goal, and i work really hard off the ice to build up strength and condition! And as you can se my goalie stance isnt really good.. yet!!!

Your butterfly looks pretty solid and your slides look good also. You look very comfortable when you are in the butterfly the only thing I would say is to keep your glove and blocker out in front of you and make sure your glove is open to take up more space when you are standing. Also, you look very relaxed right before a shot comes, almost too relaxed? I'm not an amazing goalie myself but there's my opinion |

i agree with what bossssman38 said and one addition i would make to what he said would be so say when you go to butterfly or butterfly slide keep your elbows in and your gloves out in front this will help you those shots that go between your pads and a glove it will also keep rebounds to a minimum like this... hope this helps

Like said above:
- Keep your hands in front of more, especially your glove
- Keep your glove open facing the puck
- I would suggest that you keep your glove above waist, the tip of the glove almost at shoulder height and fingers between 9 and 12 o'clock position. What ever feels the best. Take a look at Niklas Backstöm, goalie for wild and how he keeps his glove.
- Your basic stance seems to relaxed so all the power and quickness is not used.
- Your stick seems to be kind of sloppy sometimes. Pay attention how you hold it and where it is placed. I prefer pretty much on the middle of me but this depends on the stance too.
- This is big: when a puck is a couple meters in front of you cover it.
Over all looks like you are going to a good direction and when little mistakes are corrected and some technique trained more you will be really good.
For more tips I recommend to read my blog at http://icehockeygoaltending.com/blog/
and I have also made a program called IN THE ZONE http://www.icehockeygoaltending.com/goalie_zone.htm which includes pretty much everything you need to know about goaltending (just added new updates).
