|
|
| I have an 8 year old that has decided to be a goalie full time. Until now he has been using player skates in the nets. I am considering transitioning him to goalie skates. Is it best to just throw him out there with the goalie skates and all equipment? Better to have him try them out at an open skate venue? Any specific requests to the sharpeners for the fact he is a beginner? Appreciate any suggestions. |

He will find that standing in goalie skates is far easier and more comfortable.
Goalie skates have no where near the rocker a player skate does and ofer far more stationary stability, and more power for lateral movement.
not to mention the protection upgrades.
put them on him and dont look back. _________________
